Additional on-site services
We would recommend carrying out an ultrasound test of the toothing and bearings over and above regular checks, particularly with older gearboxes. This test procedure enables us to detect and localise changes on the inside of the toothing at an early stage.
Our specialists can also take an impression of the toothing of the wheel set on site if there is evidence of wear and tear. Scanning electron microscopy is used to identify the cause of minor to major damage to the toothing (e.g. grey staining, micropitting, electric erosion resulting from creepage current,…).
